La cultura del cucito, sia con l’ago sia con l’uncinetto, ha attraversato nei secoli il bacino del Mediterraneo
e l’Europa intera. Sulle Alpi ha una tradizione radicata, che è passata di madre in figlia per secoli e che
nella prima metà del XX secolo ha costituito la principale fonte degli indumenti dei cadorini.

Needle and Crochet
The culture of sewing, both with a needle and crochet, has spanned the Mediterranean basin and all of
Europe over the centuries. In the Alps, it has a deeply rooted tradition, passed from mother to daughter for
generations. In the first half of the 20th century, it was the primary source of clothing for the people of
Cadore.
