“Mai con le man nte man” (“Mai con le mani in mano”): le donne del Cadore avevano sempre qualcosa da
fare. Così, mentre una dava da mangiare alle galline, l’altra cuciva e insegnava l’arte alle più giovani
generazioni sull’uscio di casa, dove si stava nella “bella stagione”.

The Industrious Women of Cador
“Never with hands idle”: the women of Cadore always had something to do. Thus, while one was feeding
the chickens, another was sewing and teaching the craft to the younger generations at the doorstep,
where they stayed during the “warm season”.
