I fienili in legno del Cadore e delle Dolomiti erano chiamati “tabià”. Lì le donne di tutte le età (dalle
bambine a quelle più anziane) portavano enormi gerle piene di fieno e paglia e lì si conservava il cibo del
bestiame per tutto l’inverno.

Hay to the Tabià
The wooden barns in Cadore and the Dolomites were called “tabià” ; Women of all ages (from young girls
to the elderly) carried enormous baskets full of hay and straw there, where the livestock’s food was stored
for the entire winter.
